City bowlers to represent AP at Tenpin championship - Hans India (October 27, 2015)
The Andhra Pradesh national qualifying trails for the 26th National Tenpin Bowling Championship 2015 kicked off at the SVM Bowling zone in the city on Tuesday.

The second trials will be held from November 16 for two days at Guntur from which the top four players with highest points will move ahead to represent the team from AP at the National Championship to be held at Bangalore from November 30 to December 5.
Speaking about the national championship, Federation observer of the State, Smitha Chowdary said that the nationals are being held for the first time in association with SVM Bowling zone. Over 20 State teams will represent the championship for the title. Prizes worth Rs 7.5 lakh will be given away to both the men and women team members.
About eight players from the city will play the game at Guntur with another eight contestants. Out of 16, final four will be picked up to form the State team, she added. SVM Center Manager K Mohan Murali, Game supervisor Praveen and other players were present during the event.
This Qualifying Round is open to all Men bowlers who have not qualified through State Ranking Events or Trials in their respective States held in India and All Overseas bowlers based Indian bowlers, including those who could not qualify in the Overseas trials.
These Qualifying Rounds will be held at Pepsi BluO, Orion Mall, Bangalore, beginning from 23rd Nov – 27th Nov 2015. The schedule, format, entry fee, rules and contact information are provided in the sections below.

Note: One more batch will be added, if required, for Round I, subject to the number of entries exceeding 72.
Ø All bowlers will play 2 blocks of 6 games each.
Ø First block of 6 games will be played on Medium Oil, on 24th November.
Ø Second block of 6 games will be played on Short Oil, on 25th November.
ØTop 32 bowlers based on total pin fall of 12 games will qualify for Round II.
Ø Top 32 qualifiers will play 2 blocks of 6 games each.
Ø First block of 6 games will be played on Medium Oil, on 26th November.
Ø Second block of 6 games will be played on Short Oil, on 27th November.
Ø Top 16 bowlers based on total pinfall of 24 games will qualify to participate in 26th NTBC – 2015. [In addition to those who qualified through State Ranking Tournaments / Trials / Wild Cards]
Number of bowlers who qualify from the above mentioned Qualifying Rounds will be minimum of 16.
The number can go up to maximum of 24 [based on Surrender / Forfeiture of the slots allotted to different States]. The exact number of bowlers to qualify through Qualifying Rounds will be announced on 20th Nov, 2015.
ENTRY FEES: 1800 /- per bowler to be paid at the venu

Allocation of Batches will be on first come first served basis.
All games will be in league format.
Rules other than the ones specifically mentioned in the Rules section will be in accordance with WTBA playing rules.
Use of Powder on the lanes or shoes is not allowed.
Out Of Turn Play
In case a bowler bowls on the wrong lane or out of turn that frame will not be considered regardless of whether it is a strike or a split. The bowler must re-bowl the frame on the correct lane or turn.
Late to the event
When a bowler arrives after the start of the league he loses the number of games or frames that have been completed by the bowlers in his lane.
Ex: If a bowler arrives after his allocated co-bowler has completed 1 game and 5 frames in the second game, he will start bowling from 5th frame of that game.
Lane maintenance will be done before the start of every batch
Medium Oil : Seoul pattern [39 feet]

Tie breaking rules
Tie for all ranking positions will be decided on the highest score in last game of the last block
All the bowlers must wear collared tee shirts.
All members should strive to conduct themselves in a mature and sportsmanlike manner.
Kicking ball returns, chairs, etc. and loud profanity will not be tolerated. A member consistently displaying this type of unsportsmanlike behaviour will be given a code of ethics violation.
All the bowlers are requested to voluntarily bring to notice incidents like jump ball, out of turn play etc. to the lane master.
In case of any disputes, the Federation will resolve the disputes.
